WARNING: This book is unbelievably bad. I listened to many, many books. I always managed to struggle thru to the end. It is a first that I just couldn’t make myself get thru it. Many people raved about the book in the reviews I read before getting it. I think they lied. It is slow paced and boring. The saving credit that even got me thru to 16 was Jeff Hays’ voice. I just can’t stomach the perspective, the senseless violence, and the lack of direction or goal. It is true that it is not your usual book. It is true that it is decidedly off the beaten path. But, it is definitely not true that this is a good book. Did someone get paid to say that? I’m going to try to return this one.
