I really wanted to like this book because I love Kevin Pierce and because this case fascinated me. But there is something going on with the audio! I’ve listened to just about every book Kevin has narrated and there is a very specific, very deliberate cadence to his speech. In this recording, it’s like they took his narration and sped it up. His voice even sounds just a few notes higher than other recordings. I slowed the pace down to 0.75x the regular speed, but that made it too slow. I’m giving Kevin five stars because he is amazing and deserves better than this. The speed made the book hard to follow and just created a very rushed, very confusing experience.
