I tried to give this a chance. I managed to listen for about 4 hours and decided to pull the rip cord with 9+ hours left. I don’t know which was worse, the performance or the writing. Unbelievably, poor dialog people just dont talk this way to each other. The writer has evidently not spent a minute in the military. So called, “By the book” regulation following officers whine and talk back to superior officers. Actually, they all do. The narrator/performer reads everything like is a serious, pressure filled life or death situation requiring urgency. Things as simple as, sitting in a chair or picking a glass of water to take a sip. Melodramatic reading would put it mildly. This entire audiobook is absolute rubbish and a complete waste of a credit.
