Great writing. Mostly enjoyable story and characters. Lots of action, which is good, but some of the action these guys live through is a little much. And they know it too because they talk about it on several occasions. But is it luck? Is it a higher power? Oh, it’s the writer. At times that is distracting. The only other complaint I have is the inclusion of other characters and thier input into situations they find themselves. Some of are oddly silent when they shouldn’t be, especially given thier personalities and background. Probably minor, but it annoyed me at times. Other than that I really enjoyed these books and I like the take on the zombie virus. Different enough that I’m not sure I would consider it zombie.
