I’ll not include any spoilers here but will give kudos to the ability of the author to take us on a roller coaster plot ride. I feel like I’ve been twisted, turned, and flipped upside down but am excited and eagerly awaiting the next ride. The complexity of the “real world” actions of the characters and their growing web of relationships as well as the in-game action, planning, and character progression in this novel makes it a extremely well done piece of an already amazing series. I also appreciate the lack of “filler” that comes with some other series’ characters constantly checking of their status and skills. I’m interested to see where this game of chess on steroids goes and to figure out who are the actual players and who are just the pieces on the board.
