This is the first book in the series that I’ve read, the book does reference things that happened in other books (at least I’m assuming their events from other books), but there was enough of a backstory that it didn’t matter that I haven’t read the series in order. I’d have to say though, this book contains spoilers for earlier books.
I enjoyed the mystery in this book, it was well done and it took me quite a while to figure out who the murder is, I did get it before the reveal, but not by much.
The characters are really well done, this probably isn’t surprising since it’s so far into the series, but I thought they were really well crafted even without reading the earlier books and sometimes that doesn’t happen.
Great writing and scene setting, I was able to vividly picture everything that was happening.
The narration worded well with the story, Andrew’s voice was a good match for Jack and he did a great job with the other character voices including the female voices.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
