Fiona, the innocent baker, is trying to hire a hitman to kill her neighbor who is rustling cattle from her family’s ranch, and trying to run them off. Ronan is a mercenary who tries to help people – without killing. Mayhem ensues. Sax makes it believable enough, and the characters act and speak consistently within the world the author has created. If you’re not laughing, you’ll definitely have some smiles;-)
Hickman has a pleasant voice and it’s just right to carry off this story. I can visualize her narrating anything from YA up to a 30 something woman.
