I LOVE LOVE LOVE Post-Apocalyptic novels. All types! All types, that is, except for ‘Zombie’ stories. Yuck!
In my experience they nearly all have weak plots, stupid characters, and focus almost exclusively on gratuitous violence and gore.
But after stumbling across (and loving) Bobby Adair’s ‘Dusty’s Diary’, a couple of months ago, I decided to give his ‘Slow Burn Box Set’ series a try and WOW – am I ever glad I did! It’s AWESOME!!
This set contains 9 books and 55 hours of fantastic writing, story telling and character development, that absolutely flies by. Yes, it’s violent and gory, but only tragically so, and always as a means to a greater cause.
Zed Zane is THE Post-Apocalyptic hero we never knew we needed, and ‘Slow Burn’ is his story. Buy it and buckle up. You won’t be disappointed….!!!
