Things I love: finding new authors to fan girl over! This book is written by 2 authors new to me and since I listened to the audiobook, it’s also narrated by 3 very talented voice actors who I don’t get to listen to very often.
Hold on to your seats people, because it’s a cliffhanger, or more precise part one in this series. This book trope (bully romance) isn’t my usual go to since I prefer adult romance over new adult, but I was offered a listener’s copy for an honest review and I’m currently obsessed with narrator, Neill Thorne!
Blue is a girl from the ‘wrong’ side of town who has the opportunity to attend an elite high school for her senior year.
She’s this bad ass chick who never gives up or gives in even though life is trying to hold her down. She’s got a little sister to take care of because her parents are pieces of crap too involved in their own problems. She also has a brother, Hunter, but he’s out of the picture for…reasons.
West is the head Golden Boy, one of 3 triplets. He’s got it out for Blue, but only he knows why. I do love that the readers are in the know about why and not kept wondering! Great twist to the bully theme which makes this book unique for me.
There are so many supporting characters to this book that I love, but there’s always got to be a mean girl group, which is headed by Parker. I want To Kill this bitch!! I mean She’s worse than West who is a total prick!
But, ya know, he’s got his reasons and ultimately I don’t thinks he’s bad, he’s just got his own problems!
