In the grand tradition of enemies to lovers but with high school antics. Hailee is tough as nails and I truly don’t think I would have survived the bullying she endured. Her stepbrother Jason and his group of football gods are tiny terrorists. It’s really so good in that NA bully way. I enjoyed everything about it but would highly recommend not letting children under the age of 18 read this book. Cameron has a ton of potential to be a great BBF.

The narrators are kicka$$ and really capture all the angst and drama you love in NA.

There is a certain event towards the end of the book that really threw me. The way it was handled left me completely aghast. It took me more than a week to gets my thoughts together on this. If this were marketed for adults I wouldn’t bat an eye but I don’t like to normalize certain destructive behaviors against children. I had the same issue with the end of After and the second book in the Abbi Glines Field Party Series.

Overall it’s a really solid story and I would continue in the series.
