So… where to start? First: trigger warnings are needed for this book.
It features both stalking and rape in the beginning which is completely glossed over because we’re talking about LGBTQ romance thus being followed into the bathroom and forced into sex without consent is the norm.
I’m all here for broken characters trying to do right and a good story; this is not it.
This was a by all accounts disgusting experience. if it weren’t for Joel Leslie this would get a much harsher review.
If you want a better romance, try On Davis Row, it’s voiced by Joel and far more romantic and not anywhere as misleading as “Broken”.
