Dr. Esolen is knowledgeable, yet based on the audio sample, I was hoping that he would bring Dante and the Divine Comedy to life. Greatly disappointed. Focus is on material only — not on today’s audience and how to relate this classic to today’s audience. Play to the audience first, and then explain and highlight this timeless poem to today’s man.
