My first audiobook from Zarah Detand was “You’re My Beat”, also narrated by the incredibly talented Joel Leslie, and it was so great and so well written I vowed to listen to all of her audio books. This audio was equally as amazing as the first I’d listened to! her writing is so good, there’s not one lull or one single place in the entire story where you feel anything is being unnecessarily reiterated. No dead horses beaten anywhere lol. No unnecessary drama, either. The world building, character building, and storytelling are all outstanding! Even the side characters are fantastic and I’d love to hear an epilogue about how everyone is doing, but I know that’s not going to happen lol. Now I’m off to see what other books she has on audio because wow, haven’t felt that great after reading or listening to a book in a while. Nothing better than an entertaining story that’s incredibly well written!
