OMG you guys! Could this get any worse? The writing is soooo juvenile. In fact, it reads more like fanfic fantasy than something written by a supposed professional writer. Actually, writers, as there are two of them.

All the princes are hot. Rosalina is hot, in fact, dripping, for each of them and she tells us over and over and over and over and over. Her ‘voice’ is annoying and the narrator makes it even worse. I don’t know this narrator so I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt regarding her performance and think she’s reading it as she was directed to read it. In any case, ‘nails on a chalkboard’ doesn’t begin to cover the reading.

The male narrator, IMO, does a much better job. The princes’ dialog is equally as boring as Rosalina’s but he still manages to give an individual sound to each man. They’re all anguished over the curse and we’re told this over and over and over and over and–well, you get the picture.

I tried to like the book. I pushed really hard but eventually gave up 7/8 of the way through. Life’s too short–regardless of how old the reader is–to have to endure this drivel. I want to make it clear that I’m giving the story 1 star, not because it’s not for me, but because it’s so unbelievably bad. I’m so mad that I bought the 3 books in the series. That’s money I won’t get back.
