I hate giving negative reviews and I rarely do, but omg…I had to force myself to finish this. There was nothing special or interesting about this book. It was just your average run-of-the-mill soldiers-vs-aliens story where people get picked off one at a time. There were no details offered, no motivations of the aliens, no background of interest. This is the perfect book to turn into a low budget Amazon Prime movie.
The most humorous part was the very end where we were given a GI Joe cartoon “and knowing is half the battle” lecture about the plight of soldiers (which seems kinda disrespectful considering it’s at the end of a soldiers-vs-aliens” book).
If you’re like me and were hoping to hop into a great series, keep looking — this ain’t it.
