The book is mildly amusing in places, but the average is lowered by the character “Randy”, who might have been funny as a 30 second minor role, but gets really tiresome as a major character.

Our main character is a wuss and it’s really hard to develop any affection for him; the author is coy about revealing what his undeveloped powers are and 3/4 of the way through the book, I still don’t know.

With the humor only sporadic and no action to speak of, the book is pretty boring, and I’ve lost the will to continue. I’m returning it.
