I jumped right into book 2 after finishing Balance. Ugh my emotions are inside out over these characters and the crazy situation they are in. It’s like a bad case of whiplash with all the drama and heartache in this story. The writing is so good, and there is so much angst, I was just hanging on every word.
Kova fills me with rage only to make my heart hurt with the vulnerability he shows. Can you loathe and love a character at the same time? I’m heartbroken for Ria, so completely heartbroken. I want to hug her and help guide her out of this mess they’ve gotten in to. I want to see her reach her dream of becoming an Olympic Medalist! I want to see her succeed and also be loved, protected, and adored. Their relationship is so complicated and intense, I just know we are in for quite a ride with these two!! Again, Sarah Puckett delivers a wonderful audio narration.
