This is book 4 in Larks’ Kingmakers series. A well written, beautifully narrated mafia romance read. Plenty of twists and turns, Action, adventure and secrets in this read. I loved that we got a taste of the Spy in book 3 and we got the whole story in this one. I can’t even give away who our main characters are without giving spoilers – but just know that not everyone is who they claim to be and plans take patience. I loved that there were two stories that fit in this and at first it was hard for me to figure out why we were being taken back in time and how did it correlate to the now story – but everything comes together as it should. Oh the lies and deception but goodness to be found too. A great listen – loved the narration and the HEA. Can’t wait for more!
