Well, I guess if you don’t laugh at the zombie apocalypse you’d have to cry. There are a few laughs here, nothing hilarious, but the utter stupidity of the characters is amusing. It is a pretty accurate representation of how most people would deal with an outbreak. Lots of denial and normalcy bias from all sides.

The book is well written and while there is nothing really new here, it is dealt with with a light touch and a strong sequel setup.

Phil Thron does a good job of narration.

If nothing else this book is a strong indictment against HOAs.
