I’ve read and reviewed many stories by this author, and I truly appreciated listening to this audiobook. Sparktopia is the first book in JA Huss’ new romantasy series so there’s a lot of characters and their corresponding plotlines being introduced. Listening to the dialogue really brings the characters to life, especially when the story takes place in a sci-fi fantasy world that seems to cross dimensions. The author’s book description outlines the premise of the book, and all I’ll say is, nothing is at it seems. But, as a fan of this author’s work, readers should expect to hang on for the twisty ride she’s going to take you on. With Sparktopia, I sometimes felt like I was on a tram ride through an amusement park pointing to all the fascinating things to see with my head twisting from side to side so I didn’t miss anything. Equally fascinating is the author’s EOBS (end of book “stuff”) where she shares about how she created the characters, the unexpected path the storylines took and what’s to come! Love this new world!
