The overall story decent, and the narrator is good. My issue is that it’s a bit generous to call this a “Sherlock Holmes” story. Holmes and Watson are more side characters, leaving Mr. Rafferty to take center stage. It takes a while to for Holmes and Watson to even appear in the story at all. If your desire is for a story that centers on Holmes and Watson, you may want to pass over this one. If you simply want a decent mystery told competently, you may want to give this a try.
