I’m not sure if the author reads these reviews. One major issue I have is every situation the MC is hanging on by a thread. What this does to the reader is to make us numb to any exciting climaxes or when it was truly spectacular. I was left with an attitude of yep did that all book.

The MC is not as bad as the first three books. He is finally coming into his own. However, just when you think he is there, he will fall back on to his old ways, or the author blast you with how he is burned out and drained of power. I know in the sixth book, the MC has a spine and not overly annoying bowing to everyone with how he is not worthy. The parts I have read of the sixth book are better and don’t have you facepalming. I can’t wait to get the MC mature, and not going to blow over in the wind.

The great parts of the book I would like to congratulate the author on is some of the side characters are amazing! I especially like Eithan and Orthos. The world build and lore is excellent, and the way the author is tieing together a bigger picture is fantastic.
