To start, I am really happy this picked up almost immediately where the last one ended. I am not such a fan of the cliffhanger endings this author seems to like. At points some of the self-righteous dialogue about vegetarianism and pride were somewhat annoying, but beyond that I very much enjoyed this book. So much so that I listened to it in a single day. Both characters are growing and redeeming themselves alot, despite the fact that since there are more books I know there will be more angst and conflict. Again the story took place in a week, which is alot to happen in a single book, but I appreciate the story told through it. There are alot less triggers/dark moments and more of the characters falling for and fighting each other.
I dont know how more they can “not want each other”, clearly something has to give. And I need answers to how/when/if Sully has been slipping in during her euphoria sessions like has been hinted. And the diamond from the first guy?? I think there are several more books planned, and with only two main characters I hope the series doesn’t turn into a soap opera. Definitely looking forward to the book 3. Same narrators as the previous book, still both did a great job.
