I am about 3/4 of the way through this audio book and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I work in the Forensic discipline and have enjoyed learning about these investigators/scientists. Before listening, I was wondering how this audio book could be 14 hours long and was concerned it might end up boring me. After telling the backstories of the investigators, the author introduces cold cases where the developed technology/their experience was utilized. The stories are very interesting and the author does a wonderful job of starting at the very beginning of the case and providing all of the necessary details…while continuing all the way to the end so we get to hear the result! The author also did not dwell on each individual cold case for too long; they are split up into parts/chapters, so it holds your interest well.

The reader’s voice is perfect in my opinion as he does not sound dull but also not overly dramatic. I’ve found myself listening to this audio book every chance I get, which is something that I have never done before! If you like Forensics/Science/Murder Mystery combos, I think you’d really enjoy this!
