This is a great second book in the series, largely because it gives good backstories on key characters. The first book did, but in this book so many of the characters reactions to events are explained in detail, due to what happened in the past. Why did they become who they are now? There are always much needed answers. It felt like the first book was more of a description of what was happening at that moment, amongst all the chaos and confusion. But in book two, flashing from present to the past is very effective. And with this, it becomes more than just a shoot em up survive the PA book. Although that’s pretty exciting too! Kevin Pierce is the most effective PA fiction narrator in the business!! Another great work here by all involved.
