This is the fourth book in the EMP Survivors Series. This is somewhat of a unique series in that each book is not a continuation of the previous book. The first two books followed one plot line, while the third and fourth focus on different survivors from the initial moment of the EMP.

The lack of continuity is by no means a detractor, in fact I find it quite enjoyable to be able to follow different groups of survivors on their journey.

This fourth book followed an intriguing set of survivors in what I would say from reading many other books in this genre, is a bit unique.

I would have given a five star rating had it not have been for what I felt was too much emphasis on how the dog Reload interpreted numerous situations. The dog’s point of view different much to the story line and at times pulled me away from the story.
