Negative reviews are confusing but not all travellers are created equal i guess. Let’s check a couple fake negatives off real quick that annoyed me #1 There is no “Mary Sue”. She may kick a lot of butt yet needs rescue and isn’t the cause for victory. #2 There is still settlement building. He can’t stay in the starter zone forever but the game still will let him conquer and grow new settlements. I forget the other things that reviewers got totally wrong but those were the most annoying. The sound effects in this book are so much better than the last, the humor is still good and the battles are great. My negatives.. The antagonist gets a little bit old with the whole rule of Three in video games. The intelligence of the people irl caring for him is annoying. They are supposed to be the best, know he is 99% connected to his goblin persona yet wake him up and are surprised when he doesn’t immediately go back to peaceful human. Apart from the stupid caretaker part I loved this installment and am ready to fire up the next book.
