This series truly is the best in the genre and this book is truly equal to the 4 before it. It’s common in this genre for the series to kind of jump the shark by book 5 with the author having to resort to the protagonist floating around in space with stats in the thousands. This series is the opposite – the plots of each book are grounded and there’s so much going on, there’s room for Michael to do so much more. Character advancement is still meaningful and the world is very well-developed. Can’t wait until Book 6.
