As I listened to the story I found myself conflicted. It started off innocent enough but it was hard to view through the lens of a love story; probably because it’s not. As uncomfortable as it was, I did push through and listened to the end. Honestly, I’m still unsettled and haven’t reconciled my feeling over this book. Warning it’s not for the faint of heart and not your traditional coming-of-age story.
