I rated this book 4 stars mainly because I didn’t like the reader’s manner of speaking ( pretty boring, in my opinion ). The story itself was excellent; lots of action with a lot of wondering if the Dauntless will escape this time or not. The idea of finding an artifact from the distant past that was much more advanced than anything in the book’s time was pretty exciting. Also the addition of a lady friend for Captain Barron will make future books more interesting; so far he has been sort of a eunuch type.
