i got this book because of the length (18h) and positive reviews, so i went in without expectations.
what I got, was the best audio book I’ve heard to date. this story is full of tense moments, unpredictable reveals and changes of events, funny well timed jokes and a very unique setting
This story is quite dark when you learn more about the main character, but i found myself rooting for him all the way through, and i couldn’t stop listening. The reveal near the end of the book shines a new light on the story and has me excited for the sequel
the narration is brilliant, this is one of my favorite performances of Jeff Hays, and that says something.
there is lots of variety in the voices and each voice matches it’s character very well.
get this book, now. you probably won’t regret it
