This six book series involving a coordinated terrorist attack on the USA is the most totally engrossing well written adventure I honestly have ever read. I just discovered this author and am so glad I did! The details of surviving without power, petroleum products, medical supplies and food dwindling to nothing forces people to do whatever they must to keep their families safe and alive. The line between right and wrong becomes blurred. The detail and research involved is absolutely the best. No kidding, I read one book immediately after another. These are real, fully developed characters that you love and hate. Fear and distrust everywhere yet old and new friends are found and some are lost in this daily struggle to survive. One obstacle after another with a very thoughtful ending. Edge of your seat excitement. The narrator is perfect for the changing situations and does the characters voices clearly. An excellent team.
