I just love romances when the main characters are older. A little bit more straightforward and less game playing. This particular one was sooooo much fun…not real real emotional but a few heartbreaking moments…with some fun steamy sexy times. I was highly entertained by Magnus and Laurie. Their banter kept me grinning and laughing. Magnus the grumpy/stuffy barrister and Laurie with the artistic flair…you wouldn’t think they would get along well but they had humor in common. The humor was highlighted throughout this delightful story. I love how they started out friends and then lovers and ultimately a couple. But what really made this a gem is Joel Leslie. His narration is ALWAYS on point and he made this entire story so enjoyable. Took me no time finishing this because I just wanted to keep listening. Really enjoyed the ending and would love to revisit this couple in the future.
