A reader might shy away from a book with “Broken” as the title, but it is both appropriate and telling of what can be expected within the story. This is at first a funny story that travels down the dark path of mental illness and rises soberly and wonderfully on the other side. You’ll find yourself grip-fistedly rooting for both lovers and thankful for the chance to read a very insightful novel. “Broken” soars MILES over the fluff of typical trite romance. I’m not even sure what category it would fit in. It’s just a stellar achievement.
