Jason is back at it again. Going to another dungeon, just like he did in book 2. This time the main antagonist is another god instead of a Game master. I wish Bagwell had gone with more of an adventure theme instead of another dungeon crawl.
The theme of deconstructing the MMO genre is seemingly absent as well. Unlike in book 2 with the exploits used by Jason to clear the dungeon, this was a fully traditional dungeon crawl.
I had to struggle to finish this book, which is a shame because I couldn’t stop listening to Book 1, and Book 2 was pretty entertaining. At least the editing and narration for this book are spot on.
