The premise is awesome but fails to deliver any kind of meaningful story. The intellectual, economic, and logical plot holes are many and huge. There is no sense of suspense in the story. It quickly becomes apparent that if at any point the hero might possibly be in danger, or afraid, weak, sad, tired, unlucky, has a hang nail, or improperly fluffed pillows, then by the end of the scene, destroyer class plot armor will be air lifted in to fix him right up, make him 10x as strong, make him rich, bath him, tuck him into bed and give him a hot coco. (Spoilers) For Cthulhu’s sake the super powerful rich father of the little brat he just killed off, captures him, and in 2 minutes gives him a million gold worth of equipment and lets him go. Why?……..Don’t know. By far the worst though is this woke, snowflake idea that a hero is brave and smart and will let the killer sociopath go that is trying to kill them so that he can….. kill him and other people later? Seriously, where does this mindset come from? The hero finds out that an old enemy had paid killers (20 gold???? Seriously) to hunt him down and kill him. After he kills most of the assassin teams, the rest give the gold back and give up. So, the old enemy sneaks into the bath and tries to drown him himself. When he gets the upper hand on his attacker, he has this existential crisis how he must let him go so he can be a brave and a good guy. No, just no. Letting him go is not just stupid but a coward’s way out.
