very bad writing combined with flat narration. I don’t know if it’s the narrator’s voice or the writing but it is just off. Tell me how a small woman could hit a full grown man with a bed of a rifle and kill them with one blow. All his characters except for the main character have no survival experience but are constantly doing things and acting like their experience survivalists. I was excited for this because it noted a female and male performance but the only voice done by the female is the grandma. All the females voices are done by a gravelly old man and it’s off putting and throws you out of the story.
