The story was fine. But the main problem was in the production. I listen to Audible books in the car. This performance production were not made for the car. The reader modulates his pitch and volume so much that you can’t settle on one volume level on the speaker. Road noise covers up the softer whispering sections but as soon as you turn up the volume the reader roars a brief section so loud I had to turn it down again.
Poor planning on the part of the production team. Disappointing.
