The main character is one part naive, one part hero complex, one part hot head and one part total moron. It was infuriating how he seemed to get stupider and naiver the longer the story went on. Like the opposite of any normal plot line.
Then we have the plot of the story itself. Whenever things were going too bad for the MC a random plot maguffin showed up to change things. He didn’t work for anything he got.
On the flip side, he also decided not to take advantage of any of the opportunities that fell into his lap. He was just handed a storage ring filled with good stuff that would have turned him into a badass, and what does he do… he uses one thing out of the loads of stuff and utterly forgets about the rest. Idiot writing and idiot character.
