This is a great entry in the series and gets it back on track with both characterization and narrator performance. I really liked both the main characters in this book. They were strong, dedicated to their jobs of healing and protecting and it was perfectly plausible how they met in the war zone and came to appreciate and fall in love with each other. Austin Jay gives a wonderful performance which clearly delineates all the voices and makes you feel the emotional stresses and strains these characters are under. You can hear the subtle changes as their admiration for each other deepens and they start to fall for each other. If you were uncertain about continuing after the last book, have no hesitation here.
