What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I like action, but it was very heavy-handed with the “every man for himself”.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Defiance?
That is stopped very suddenly in the middle of the story. I’d assumed that it would be a complete story, and not just a teaser to sell the next book.

It could have been great – but between the philosophizing to justify selfishness and the book being used to ensnare readers, I just couldn’t enjoy the story.

I just re-read several of the other reviewers. I noticed that they were all given the book for free – one even mentioned that the book was provided by the author. I feel deceived.
