If your thing is a submissive, mess of a protagonist being lead by the nose through the entirety of the three books by an AI, this is for you.
Get used to the phrase ‘There was no other choice.’ Jason lets his god in game dictate every single decision he makes, which frankly reduces the weight of all of them.
Every time he could deviate and go his own way, he just does what his god tells him. It’s maddening. He shows no growth, and yet we’re told the opposite.
This kind of weak-willed, yes man protagonist is antithesis to me. It’s everything I hate in a protagonist wrapped into one unappealing package.
Absolutely not for me.
