Dark City by Kit Hallows is Book 1 in The Order of Shadows series. This is a well written, has great world building, and the characters well developed and interesting. Morgan Rook (MC) has no memory before he was 10 when he awoke in an asylum. He is a supernatural detective who takes out the trash (bad guys) while looking for the witch who killed his girlfriend (the love of his life). The author’s descriptive style builds a picture in your mind and keeps you reading to the end and wanting more. Take this awesome ride, you won’t be sorry you did. Shawn Compton is an excellent narrator. He brings Morgan Rook to life. Received an audiobook ARC and this is my voluntary review.
