WOW. Did I enjoyed this? Well let’s see, I listened to a 24+ hour book in under 3 days. Seriously, I could not stop listening. I’m a huge gamer and have come to love LitRPG novels. I refuse to post spoilers, but Life Reset is absolutely fantastic, not only does it hit all the beats I’ve come to expect from LitRPG novels but it has some wonderful twists that make it unique. Not only are there the standard rpg gaming mechanics found in most LitRPG novels but Mr. Kuznits has also incorporated RTS elements such as resource management and village building that I’ve only seen in one or two other books. Aside from a few chapters toward the end where things get very very dark, the story is lighthearted and loaded with humor. I loved the characters, loved the storyline, heck loved everything about it. I hope Shemer is hard at work on the sequel because I can’t wait to see what happens next!

The book is narrated by Jeff Hays and as always he does a spectacular job. Anyone who has listened to any of Jeff’s work knows he doesn’t read a book, he performs it. Seriously, that is the only way to explain it. He doesn’t just make minor inflection in his voice, he gives each and EVERY character their own distinct voice and style. He’s not a narrator, he’s a vocal actor, a modern day Mel Blanc if you will.

For fans of the genre I can’t recommend this one enough. And if you’ve never listened to a LitRPG before, this is a great place to start.
