Pretty much more of the same as book 1. Gather territory, kill cartoonishly evil humans, kill bosses, get insane loot he barely ever uses. One could argue the first two books are the ‘prologue’ to this series, given 2 ends at the end of the stabilisation period.

I’m personally a bit over stories of this nature where the protagonist just becomes the leader of everything. I think I’d prefer, going forward, ones where the protagonist is more of a Jack Reacher kind of wanderer. I’m just over the nation building stuff, and particularly with books by this author, how the protagonist always falls into mountains of wealth (especially when you’re pulling your hair out as giants assault his cities while billions of credits sit in his vault doing nothing…).

Finally, is it just a meme at this point to give the protagonist of a Litrpg a blink step-type spell and never use it? It’s like the author knows how busted such an ability is and is embarrassed they added it. Ditto with crazy loot drops they always conveniently forget about.

… which gamer in the history of gaming forgets about LOOT?!
