It’s always challenging to like a book where the MC fails at the plot. Usually when I do, it’s because something else interesting develops the story. In this case that’s notably lacking.

The in game world develops, not so much Armageddon as dlc updates, but the story outside the game does not.

The author appears to just want an excuse to write new stories inside the game world and it wasn’t very convincing. I hope the next installment is better
