The story itself is fine, it’s slower than the last one. Eve could grow a pair, for sure. It’s much like “New Moon” of the twilight saga. Hate to get through it, but necessary for the story/information.
But why is the audiobook different from the version on kindle unlimited? This threw me off. I like to read it myself when I can, and listen when I need to. The chapters were different. Example: audiobook chapter 7 is called forbidden fruit and talks about something entirely different than in the kindle version, where chapter 8 is forbidden fruit. Chapter 8 of the audiobook is called broken… and talks about things I haven’t read yet?! What??
I also noticed when trying to read along with the narrator that she either skips words, or entire sentences. I’m confused about the inconsistency and annoyed that I don’t know which is the correct version to read.
