King of Corium – This is definitely a dark bully romance at heart, that takes place at Corium University. Corium University is in Alaska and trains the elite to excel in the crimal underworld. If you don’t enjoy darker bully novels, don’t read this, because there isn’t much romantic about it. Aspen’s father snitched and sold out the mafia. Now, Aspen’s father is in prison and she has been sent to Corium for her safety. Right off the bat, Aspen is labeled as a rat and she finds out no one will help her. Quinton bargains with Aspen, sex for protecting her against certain people. Aspen does not go into this bargain willingly. Quinton has his own issues. Quinton’s father is the person Aspen’s father betrayed. Quinton is broody, dark, and needs to be in control. Quinton and Aspen have a lot of chemistry. Make no mistake Quinton is a very mean manipulative bully. I kept thinking how can Aspen ever fall for this jerk! At first, it does start off as hate, I think. Then, their relationship starts to change at some point. The only thing I didn’t like was that Aspen was so weak, she never fights back. I do understand why it needs to be that way because I’ve read all of the books. I just wish Aspen’s character had more fight. Overall, how much fun is it to bully someone who never fights back? Since this is book 1 in a series, this book ends unresolved.

Drop Dead Queen – This is book 2 in the Corium University series. This book starts where book 1 left off, after a HUGE cliffhanger. This book is a bit darker. I think in this book Quinton struggles. Quinton has a problem with the way other people are treating Aspen and he doesn’t like it, not one bit. In fact, Quinton does some unhinged things in this book. Does it change how Quinton treats Aspen? No, not really. That’s the frustrating part. Quinton needs more time to come to terms with his feelings and emotions. Aspen is still weak and being bullied. Again, this book will end unresolved until Aspen and Quinton ‘s story is finished in book 3.

Broken Kingdom – This is the 3rd book in the Corium University Series. It’s the conclusion of Aspen and Quinton’s story. I mean, wow! Poor Aspen could not have suffered anymore! It took a long time for Aspen and Quinton to realize what they meant to each other. I did like the fact that Quinton’s mother and sister were so welcoming and kind to Aspen, especially when everyone else has been so mean. I hate what happened to Aspen and that she had such a significant loss. I wasn’t expecting who Aspen’s real father was. I also wasn’t expecting the choice Quinton made to save Aspen. I expected a happy ending but not necessarily that. Good conclusion to Aspen and Quinton’s story.
