FIRST OFF, FOR US AUDIBLE PEOPLE, A 9 BOOK BOX SET FOR ONE CREDIT IS A HELL OF A GOOD DEAL. Which is why I bought this series.

I made it to book 3 before getting burned out on the storyline. Slow Burn’s reviews mostly say the same thing over and over: “Give it a chance.” ” Give it a try.”

The reviewers are correct; this series is fun. The storytelling is gruesome at times, but the flow of the story is so fluid and fast-paced that the reader won’t have time to dwell on the gore aspects of the story.

I did stop halfway through book 3, only because I had enough. I rarely make it past book 3 in any series. I get “tired” of the story or characters and want to move on. It’s the same thing with any television series I watch. Right about season 3, I stop caring.

Slow Burn is an interesting take on zombies, and the main character, Zed, is very likable. There are bits of humor in the series which break up the tension.
