Dante doesn’t remember his past. He is homeless in a small town where he is an outcast due to his strange appearance. To make it worse, he was not blessed by the goddess in his culture’s coming-of-age ceremony. Or so he thought.

It turns out that Dante is awesome, and people want to use him. He just want’s to be left alone and to find his place in the world.

This story is filled with action, and some decent character growth. The main character doesn’t do many annoying things that characters in most stories do. There are some RPG game elements to the story, but it’s never said that it is a game.

The narrator, Jeff Hays, is one of my favorites. He always does a great job, and this performance is one of his best.

I want more, and can’t wait for the next book.
